GETTING REACQUAINTED
Maybe the last time you were on campus was your graduation, or maybe you visited yesterday with your son or daughter for a
campus tour. Sometimes, you read the alumni newsletter, and other times you don’t even realize it arrived in your inbox. We get
it: our alumni lead busy lives, and you may not have kept up with the latest Babson news. That’s why we’re here to help get you
up to speed!
As a Reunion volunteer, you will contact classmates who often will have questions about Babson, and this overview will help you
be prepared to answer them. It also provides some useful facts, gures, and points of interest that will allow you to talk about
Babson with pride and condence. There is much more information available at www.babson.edu, and you can always contact
your Reunion class liaison with questions.
GENERAL
Inaugurated in July 2013, Kerry Healey is Babson’s 13th president, and the rst woman to lead Babson College. She
is dedicated to enhancing the student and alumni experience both on campus and around the world, as well as further
strengthening Babson’s institutional prestige and reputation as an elite global business college.
Babson’s mission is to educate entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere.

Babson is the No. 1 college for Entrepreneurship according to U.S. News & World Report, a title we have owned for 21 years, the
lifetime of the ranking.

The newest residence hall, Park Manor West, opened in January 2015 to rst-year students. This completes the quad in the
center of campus. In September 2015, the Leonard A. Schlesinger Innovation Lab was dedicated in a ceremony attended by the
former Babson president. The lab is housed in Park Manor West and supports rst-years during their FME course.
Roger’s Pub closed its Park Manor Central location in June 2015 to allow for building renovations. The new pub opened in early
2016 adjacent to Trim Dining Hall. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni love enjoying the full service pub and grill.
Did you know that Babson now has THREE campuses? Where are they? Wellesley, Boston, and San Francisco.

FINANCES
Babson’s endowment has surpassed $391 million. It consists of funds that have been established over time for a variety of
purposes including scholarships, professorships, facilities, athletics, and other academic programs. These funds are managed
to support the mission of the College in perpetuity.
For the 2017–2018 academic year, Babson provided $43 million in nancial aid to undergraduate and graduate students.
The cost of attending Babson is $70,428. The average starting salary of undergraduate alumni is $59,700.
In 2015, Babson received bond rating upgrades from Moody’s Investors Service and Standard and Poor’s Ratings Services.
Standard and Poor’s has upgraded Babson’s bond rating to A from the prior rating of A-. Learn more about this from the

There are 27 concentrations offered in the Undergraduate Program.
Business Analytics has become a popular concentration.

ATHLETICS
Babson Athletics offers 22 varsity programs at the Division III level. The majority of teams compete in the NEWMAC.
Recent program highlights:
Men’s Basketball won the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship.
Women’s Field Hockey reached the 2016 NCAA Division III Final Four for the rst time in program history.
BABSONARTS
In September 2013, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company was named as the Theatre in Residence at Babson College. The
company presents a series of events on the Babson campus during the year, including Theatre in the Rough staged readings,
open rehearsals, Shakespeare and Law, and Shakespeare and Leadership. Check out the BabsonARTS upcoming schedule.
